Description We are seeking a Senior Tech Support | Helpdesk to join our team in the banking industry, based in DES MOINES, Iowa. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity where you will be responsible for a range of technical tasks, from handling customer inquiries to maintaining system security and managing data. Your role will involve working with various technologies including Cisco, Active Directory, and VMware.Responsibilities: Provide technical assistance to customers, addressing their inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Manage and monitor customer accounts, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date. Work with various systems such as AS400, Windows, and UNIX servers, maintaining their functionality and security. Utilize VMware VCenter: ESX, SRM, NSX-T, and VROPS for various tasks. Maintain system security, managing network firewalls, switches, load balancers, and other network equipment. Maintain and manage Microsoft SharePoint, ensuring it functions efficiently and meets user needs. Utilize your scripting skills, especially Windows PowerShell, to automate tasks and processes. Ensure the efficient functioning of enterprise backup/restore, email servers, web servers, and other enterprise applications. Implement configuration management and deployment strategies to ensure smooth operations. Utilize your skills in MS Office 365 and Unix environments to enhance productivity and efficiency. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support or helpdesk role within the banking industry Proficient in Cisco Technologies and Active Directory Experience with computer hardware and configuration management Proven ability to manage and execute deployments Extensive knowledge of MS Office 365 Experience with Unix scripting and working in Unix environments Familiarity with AS400 and VMware Proficient in using Microsoft SharePoint and other SharePoint platforms Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work in a team and independently as required Proven track record of maintaining a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred Relevant certifications in IT and technical support will be an advantage Willingness to stay updated with the latest technological advancements and industry trends.
